Lochcarron Camel Thomson Tartan Lambswool Travel Rug

Our Super Soft Lambswool Rug is made from a finer grade of Lambswool to create softer version of our standard Lambswool Throws. Once again the rug is suitable for lighter use on sofas and in Bedrooms.

Made by Lochcarron in Selkirk. The Lambswool Camel Thomson Tartan Throw is 56" x 72" or 142cm x 180cm and weighs 1.4lbs or 650 grams. Machine Washable only on a Cool or Wool Wash.

The name Thomson or Thompson derives from MacTavish. After Culloden, in fear of Jacobite chiefs, MacTavish's started to use the Thom(p)son spelling, for it was not healthy to be known as a "Mac", which is too obviously a Highland name. Many scattered to the border country, to Ireland and to the New World.
